China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is a national, international and comprehensive trade fair specially set up by the Chinese government for trade in services. It is the largest comprehensive exhibition for trade in services in the world.
Since 2020, Hu Chunhua, Vice Premier of the State Council, has been serving as the chairman of the organizing Committee, and Cai Qi, Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, has been serving as the first vice president. Forty-five minister-level leaders from the Ministry of Commerce, Beijing Municipal Government, Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other central ministries have been serving as members of the organizing Committee.
CIFTIS, which focuses on trade in services, and China International Import Expo (CIIE) in the Yangtze River Delta region which focuses on imports, together with the Canton Fair in the Pearl River Delta, which focuses on trade in goods, are three national exhibition platforms of China's opening up in the new era. They have formed an all-round opening up and cooperation promotion system for the comprehensive development of "Made in China" and "China Services".
From 2017 to 2019, the International Green Economy Association(IGEA) was the thematic organization responsible for Green Technology and Environmental Services section of the CIFTIS which grew out of China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services(CBIFTIS), and successively held multiple important activities such as Green Life Science and Technology Museum, Green Technology and Environmental Services Exhibition.
Since 2020, the CBIFTIS has been upgraded to CIFTIS. The International Green Economy Association continues to serve as the thematic responsible organization of the Organizing Committee of CIFTIS. We hosted a series of activities such as thematic exhibitions and 2020 Forum on Green Development and Environmental Services and so on. The International Green Economy Association has been the name card of CIFTIS for its “green development elements” for many years.
