Yan Hongguang, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group, and his entourage visited the Green Association to discuss regional carbon neutrality actions and forestry carbon sink in both international.

On the afternoon of March 13, Yan Hongguang, deputy to the National People's Congress, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group, led the team to visit the Green Association. Deng Jihai, Executive Chairman of the Green Association, organised meet and greet between "dual carbon" complex partners of the Green Association and Yan.



The two sides held a symposium in the conference room of the Green Association. Chairman Yan Hongguang, together with Enhe Tebuqin, General Manager of Forest Industry Group, Zhou Yanchang, Chief Accountant, Niu Guangzhong, Deputy General Manager, Zhao Yueming, Deputy Director of Finance Department, and Sun Zhongwen, Deputy General Manager of Group Carbon Sequestration Technology Company, attended the symposium.


Chairman Deng Jihai and representatives of the "dual carbon" complex partners of the Green Association - Mei Dewen, General Manager of Beijing Green Exchange, Tian Wei, Director of Beijing Green Exchange Carbon Trading Center, Jiang Haifeng, Deputy Director, Zhu Weiqing, Chairman of Shanghai Treasure carbon New Energy Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., and Dou Yonghua, Vice President attended the symposium.



The Green Association and Forest Industry Group exchanged views on the regional carbon neutrality related mechanisms and plans of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, international and domestic carbon market cooperation in forestry carbon sinks, etc., and reached a series of action plans.

China Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group) is the main body of ecological protection and construction of key state-owned forest areas in Daxing'anling, Inner Mongolia, which is the largest and best-preserved key state-owned forest area in China, with an ecological function area of 106,700 square kilometers, a forest area of 83,700 square kilometers, and a total forest stock of 940 million cubic meters, all accounting for one-third of the forest area and accumulation of key state-owned forest areas in the country. In 2022, Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group joined the vice president unit of the International Green Association and the partner unit of the "dual carbon" functional complex of the Green Association, committed to contributing to the goal of "carbon neutrality" with the ecological value of forestry and building the largest carbon sink base of state-owned forests in China.


The International Green Economy Association has served the green development of Inner Mongolia for many years, and has successively carried out key projects such as the planning and industrial promotion of the national straw resource comprehensive utilization demonstration base, the demonstration of Alxa Ulan Bu and desert ecological industry, and the major strategic decision-making research project of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government undertaken and completed by the Green Association in 2021 "Inner Mongolia Development of Forestry and Grassland Carbon Sequestration Economy" won the annual outstanding research achievement award of the Political Research Office of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Green Association has established a strategic cooperative relationship with Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group in the field of ecological industry and carbon sink.


From 2023, the Green Association and Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group will continue to deepen their partnership, further promote the realization of the value of ecological products, and promote the regional carbon neutrality action of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and various cooperation in international and domestic carbon markets.
