In response to the spirit of the "Work Plan on Investigation and Research in the Whole Party" issued by the central government, and to conduct in-depth research on the development mode of biological breeding science and technology and industrialization, the International Green Economy Association and the China Animal Husbandry Association jointly organized an expert group to investigate biological breeding projects at the Chifeng Best Genetics Nucleus Biotech Group Co., Ltd industry base in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on April 8-9, 2023. The expert group is led by Yu Kangzhen, counselor of the State Council and former vice minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as the expert group, and is composed of relevant experts from the Planning Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Rural Technology Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Pig Technology Innovation Center, the City University of Hong Kong, the Agricultural Development Bank of China, the China Agricultural University and other units.

Zhao Yufeng, second-level inspector of the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Fu Shouli, deputy mayor of Chifeng City and secretary of the Ningcheng County Party Committee, Lin Jinghua, vice chairman of the Chifeng CPPCC, Zhong Qingsong, deputy secretary of the Songshan District Party Committee and mayor of Chifeng City, and relevant responsible persons of the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau and Science and Technology Bureau of Chifeng City and Songshan District, representatives of industry and financial circles, a total of more than 50 people participated in the research and investigation activities.

From the afternoon of 8th of April until morning of the 9th, the research expert group, accompanied by the leaders of the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chifeng City and Songshan District Territorial Government, visited the office of the home education company, the five bases in Shangguandi Town, Songshan District, and the central laboratory of Liujiagou Township, Manchu Township and Pawnshop in Songshan District, to visit and understand the whole genome breeding and data collection and analysis process of the smart cloud platform of the Chifeng Best Genetics Nucleus Biotech company. Base construction layout, building characteristics, environmental protection and biosecurity protection; Quarantine and testing technology, DNA extraction and gene bank construction.

On the afternoon of April 9th, the International Green Economy Association organized the "Special Research and Expert Symposium on Biological Breeding Technology in Home Breeding Industry". The expert symposium was chaired by Deng Jihai, Executive President of the International Green Economy Association.

Chairman Deng Jihai first thanked the governments of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chifeng City and Songshan District for their long-term strong support to the Chifeng Best Genetics Nucleus Biotech Company. Chairman Deng Jihai introduced that this research work originated from December 2022, when the International Green Economy Association organized the "Seed Industry Revitalization Action 'Biological Breeding' Special Think Tank Expert Consultation" in Beijing, with the Chifeng Best Genetics Nucleus Biotech company as a case study example, and this on-site investigation is a continuation of the expert consultation meeting. Chairman Deng Jihai mentioned that after this on-site research activity, combined with the expert seminar held in Beijing and the field research and investigation, the expert group will study and compile a research report, conduct research from various aspects such as policy promotion, scientific and technological innovation and industrial model, and submit research suggestions to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and relevant national departments.

Mao Oujianli, chairman of Home Breeding Industry, talked about the entrepreneurial process of the company for more than ten years, and shared the craftsmanship, cross-border spirit and co-construction and sharing spirit adhered to by the family breeding company, and proposed that he hoped to unite with related institutions in the industry to jointly build the "National Biological Breeding Innovation Alliance”.

During the expert symposium, the experts of the research group spoke in turn. All the experts fully affirmed the outstanding contribution made by Home Breeding Company to the revitalization of the national seed industry, and sincerely appreciated the patriotic feelings of Ms. Mao Oujianli, Chairman of Home Education. At the same time, the expert group recommends that domestic breeding companies extend from providing breeding pigs to providing breeding experience and technology; Strengthen brand awareness, build a domestic brand, and cultivate Chinese pigs, with the goal of going abroad; Adhere to market orientation, research the breeding direction to adapt to different regions and different consumer needs; Benchmark against the national strategic needs, tap the advantages of the autonomous region's development of seed industry, so as to determine the company's positioning and development direction. Finally, the expert group also called on relevant national authorities and scientific research institutions, the government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and all sectors of society, especially the capital side, to pay more attention to and support family education.

Yu Kangzhen, counselor of the State Council and former vice minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, concluded that this investigation and study of the domestic breeding biological breeding project will help to more accurately understand the current situation of China's livestock and poultry seed industry, and see the development direction of the country's next localization of livestock and poultry seed industry. Minister Yu Kangzhen emphasized that livestock and poultry breeding should combine traditional breeding with biological breeding, and biological breeding is the commanding height, but traditional breeding cannot be ignored, and more attention should be paid to the protection of germ plasm resources. Minister Yu Kangzhen suggested: 1. Family education companies should insist on doing a good job in localized breeding, which is the foundation for settling down. 2. Breeding companies should explore SPF breeding farms, purify breeding pigs, and improve the quality of breeding pigs. 3. Domestic breeding companies should make efforts in biological breeding, which is the icing on the cake. 4. Household breeding companies should carry out joint breeding, build a joint breeding mechanism, and pay attention to grasping the direction of breeding. 5. Domestic breeding companies should adhere to market orientation and carefully consider expanding to diversified markets, focusing on pig breeding projects.
