The International Green Economy Association, abbreviated as IGEA, an AAAA-rated association by China's social organisation rating standard, is a professional Chinese social organisation dedicated to the promotion of green, low-carbon and sustainable development.
IGEA is also a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) China Network, a partner of the United Nations Sustainable Development Network (UNSDSN) in China, and an observer to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
IGEA was registered in Chaoyang District, Beijing in January 2013 (full name: International Green Economy Association of Chaoyang District, Beijing). Based in Beijing, with a view to serve the whole nation as the hub to reach the rest of the world, IGEA sets out to synergise delivery on the outcomes for green development by integrating high-end resources of green industry, green think tank, carbon peak & carbon neutral functional complex, green finance, Chinese local governments and the global green network.
